New Cranberry Beverage Study for Healthy Adults
We have a new study comparing the effects that different cranberry-based beverages have on blood sugar levels. Fruits in liquid form allow for a quick absorption of sugars and can influence glucose and hormone responses after consumption. We are investigating how fruit juice consumption effects glucose, insulin, and GLP-1 levels and their relation to metabolic health and diet.
The total study participation is approximately 7 weeks with 7 in-clinic visits. At 6 of these visits, you will consume a different cranberry/fruit beverage each time. We will be doing multiple blood draws via an IV catheter in your arm to measure your blood sugar levels throughout the 3-hour visit.
If qualified, you may be compensated up to $825 for completing all visits and study related tasks.
Qualified participants must:
- Be a generally healthy adult; 18-45 years of age
- Have a BMI ≥18.5 and <30 at visit 1
- Have a fasting blood sugar level of <110mg/dL
- Be willing to consume 6 different cranberry/fruit-beverages at 6 in-clinic visits
- Be willing to attend six 3-hour visits with an IV catheter placed in the arm for multiple blood draws
