Extended Release Protein Study
We have a new study aiming to determine the minimum dose of a protein formulation needed to measure essential amino acids over a 12-hour period. Our bodies receive essential amino acids from food and they are vital for a number of bodily functions. They assist in the growth and repair of tissue and are found in the blood after protein is digested and absorbed.
The total study participation is approximately 2 weeks with only 2 in-clinic visits. One of the visits will be 12 ½ hours with multiple blood draws via an IV catheter in the arm to measure essential amino acids.
If qualified, you may be compensated up to $1,000 for completing all visits and study related tasks.
Qualified participants must:
- Be a generally healthy adult; 18-40 years of age
- Have a BMI of 20 – 28 at visit 1
- Be willing to consume a standardized meal prior to Visit 2
- Be willing to attend one 12 ½ hour visit with an IV catheter placed in the arm for 14 blood draws throughout the duration of the day
